Stacey Lynn Schlegl has a BS in Biology from Maryville University and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She spends her time volunteering at her children’s school and running a program that provides meals for families in need. She has published various books in many different genres including inspirational romance, children’s books and non-fiction. She has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and stays active by taking nature hikes with her children and helping coach and playing volleyball.
On a personal note from Stacey…
My writing is meant to be inspirational to all women. Everyone deserves a happy ending no matter what their situation…divorce, single mother, widow, victim of violence, age or size. A happy ending is waiting for them in real life and inside of my books.
The news and world is filled with sadness and I strive for a story that is uplifting and leaves you with fulfillment and a positive feeling. It always bothered me to leave a movie or finish a book that has the characters dead or unhappy. Just because tragedy happens in life doesn’t mean there is no joy to be found. I am proof of that. I have faced a lot of tragedy and pain and yet have found happiness.
I have had my head slammed against ceiling fans, my body hit and the life choked out of me. I have also been drugged and ganged raped. And sadly lost several children to miscarriages, However, despite these tragedies in my life, I don’t see myself as a victim---I see myself as a survivor. I have built my life up from what I considered the bottom and possibly even Hell to having a wonderful family, a college education and now a passionate career that I love. If there is hope for me…there is hope for anybody.
My romance books are written to tell everyone who reads them that they are perfect the way they are and that they deserve love and romance. Happy endings are possible. If a woman who has seen size 26, who has been beaten, raped and working three jobs just to buy broth and eggs can make it to a happy ending…anyone can.
You will find a piece of my heart in every story from the smallest thing such as a favorite recipe to something bigger such as battling society’s perspective of someone who is overweight. Come along with me and my books and take a journey that will lead you to an ending where you will hopefull find peace, complete endings and happiness.
